Staff were helpful and ready to act promptly. Rooms very confy, spacious, endowed with fridge. Laundry service efficient.
I had initially asked for an apartment with self-catering facilities, but was given a single room. Changed after one day, only to find out that the apartment had in fact no kitchen. They would have shifted to another apartment, but I thought it wasn't necessary as eating in Beijing is in any case so cheap.
Economical hotel close to metro service. Its appeal to me is that it is next door to my daughter's university and so enabled us to see more of each other and she was able to stay with me and have a bit of luxury. It is a conference hotel so rooms had a computer and internet provided. The shower is enormous and very efficient.Fresh towels every day .
Perhaps they could have changed the sheets more frequently .
The hotel was close to the Language and Cultual University which was our priority. The street food around the area was excellent and the area was easy to navigate. It was a 10 minute walk to the subway station and this gave us easy access to the rest of the city. The rooms were basic but well maintained and cleaned regularly. The carpets were a bit old and couldn't really be improved without replacing. Engish speaking staff were few, but people did their best to help us when it was needed. One of the rooms smelled a little due to old piping in the bathroom. However, I would return to this hotel in the future.
Just the smelly bathroom piping. There was some dispute about us having paid from Australia before we left and also about the fact that we had booked double rooms but only singles were available. It seemed difficult for staff at the hotel to access this information when we arrived.
The location was good; just right next to Beijing Language and Culture University, not too far from Tsinghua University and Wudaokou Subway station.
Staffs at the reception desk sometime could get thing mix up quite easily. The breakfast was too expensive.
its good and comfortable place.
some staff couldnt speak English.
It really was a wonderful place for my needs, which included being near several universities, and having a decent workspace. The apartment was perfect, with lots of desk and shelf space, and plenty of natural and artificial light. I spent a highly productive and comfortable time there. I did not take advantage of the other, considerable facilities. Everything I needed was available nearby (once I found it!). Though the hotel is not in a tourist area, the Wudoakou subway is only few minutes away. The English of the reception staff was excellent -- a welcome contrast with so many places I stayed in China. I visited the hotel before making a reservation, and was a little put off by the posted prices. I then went on-line to get a significant savings through Booked.net, and checked in the next day.
The apartment came with a kitchen: fridge, sink, lots counter and cupboard space, and a brand new range hood. Unfortunately there was nothing in the cupboards and no source of heat except an electric kettle -- typical Chinese obsession with appearance over function. It didn't bother me, but there is not enough furniture for two people in the apartment; a TV and stand, one chair, one bed, and one nightstand.
The hotel is close to the universities where my family memebers where.
No english channel on tv, no fridge, no coffee or milk in the room.
The location and the racio price/quality. Although, it was very difficult to communicate - because only a few employees spoke poorly English - the stuff was helpful in what it was possible.
The staff should spoke well english.
The hotel staff is really nice and dependable. The room was big enough, comfortable and clean. We never had any problems. The room save box is big enough for a laptop and many other small gadgets and easy to use. This hotel is at walking distance of a shopping mall and a metro station. And there are also a few restaurants in the street and food carts with fruits, breakfast, or skewed meat, depending on the time of the day. Also is not too hard to get a taxi. And I found an atm that accepted my debit card, also at walking distance. Great hotel for the money, I would definitely stay there again.
The only thing I can mention is that there hotel was under construction at the time of our stay. So the main entrance was closed and taxis could not get all the way in. Didn't bother us at all. Also, there was some noise in the room above us, sounded like they were remodeling or something. But they never made any noise at night or morning, and since we spent most of the day out we didn't even notice. Anyway, the sound was not loud at all.
Great service, nice tub
Single room is a little bit small, lighting is not strong enough.
It is away from the city, less traffic. It is convenient for us because our daughter is studying in Beijing Language University. It has a computer in our room.
The air conditioning can be improved.
Only the rate...
The Location too far to the main street, room condition, staff's ability to communicate in English.
Near beijing language and culture university and wudaokou subway station.
I did not like the construction that blocked the main access to the Rec Building and the construction noise I heard every morning around 7am right outside my window. Also, I was not pleased that it cost 66rmb to use the pool for 1 day, yet bowling was free. I just wanted to relax in a hot tub for an hour or so after walking around the city all day but couldn't justify paying $10-11.
This is suppose to be a international hotel, but almost no-one could speak english. We had a really hard time trying to comunicate with hotel staff. But everyone was friendly and willing and really did try to accompany us best possible. The hotel is also very far from main sites and happenings in the city, so it took really long to get anywhere.
